Nearly 40 years ago we started producing the world’s most ecological wood flooring product, with the goal of producing the finest wood floors in the world. Taking our extensive knowledge of luxury woodworking and forestry, we developed a revolutionary wood floor construction, which is superior to any wood flooring made to date. Eliminating the tongue and groove, as well as numerous trade secrets and patents, allow SWF to manufacture floors that have no limitations in design and provides clients with a floor that is stable year-round and is able to withstand extreme moisture conditions.
Quality
We utilize raw materials in the most efficient way. The manufacturing of plank is very wasteful, since trees grow in different sizes and lumber comes in various grades, various widths and various lengths. When a customer wants a certain width plank, what do you do with the excess material you just cut? We manufacture our floors from that material, utilizing almost 100% of the raw materials. Many of our products use pieces that are smaller than 1” x 1”, allowing SWF to use lower grade lumber that typically can’t be used by other flooring manufacturers.
Sustainability
All the floors are made by hand in the United States. All the lumber is hand sorted for grade and color and milled by us in our factory in California. This attention to detail allows for the unique color consistency that only we can provide. The goal of each floor that is manufactured by us is perfection. Our flooring comes in two design variations in both American black walnut and American white oak and can be manufactured in custom designs for large scale projects.
